According to multiple reports, the Red Sox have come to an agreement to re-sign catcher Jason Varitek with the catcher inking a one-year, $2 million deal with $300,000 of incentives. It could be the Red Sox are done with the catcher position and will stick with Varitek and Salty as their guys. I am OK with it only because I don't like any catchers that are left in the free agent market, and at least Tek knows these pitchers well. Still, doesn't make up for not resigning V-Mart and I'm starting to lose faith that they will makeup for it at all this offseason (at least in a way I would like).
