Let's Take Time And Laugh At the Yankees and Reflect on How Awesome It Is to Be a Boston Sports fan

It was in the bag, Cliff Lee was going to the Yankees, no ifs, ands, or buts....not.

This is great, it happens once in a blue moon, but we should really embrace the times we can belittle the Yankees.

So far the Sox can say that they got Adrian Gonzalez and Carl Crawford this winter. As for the Yankees the re-acquired Derek Jeter, and Mariano Rivera and who is their plan B, Zack Grienke? Carl Pavano? Matt Garza? Edwin Jackson? Gavin Floyd, Russell Martin? I don't know but for today it's pretty awesome that Cliff Lee chose the Phillies rather then the money and wife spitting fans.

it seems as they offended Carl Crawford when they didn't offer him a contract when they met with him, letting it be known to him that he was a little bit of an afterthought after they were done with Cliff Lee. What was Crawfords response?

I don't want to get ahead of myself but as of right now, I like the Red Sox odds.

I'm not a Patriots fan, in fact I hate them but I'm even enjoying the genius of Bill Belichick and Tom Brady. They have humbled most, if not all of the competitors in the NFL including my Steelers and have got their entire team into the "team" aspect. It's pretty cool watching 53 men all working in sync to achieving a goal, and the Patriots are doing it the best right now. My only wish is to see my Steelers getting another shot at them in the playoffs.

Now onto the Celtics. What more can you say. If you read the paragraph above you can pretty much say the same thing about them except there is 12 of them. Shaq has came in and taken the town by storm and embraced his role as a role player and has filled that role without question. Nate Robinson, Marquis Daniels, Semih Erdan and Big Baby have all bought into the "Celtics" way and have the best record in the East. Unlike the 3 in Miami or the jerk in Denver, there are no egos on this team and they realize they can all rely on each other to get another shot at the title.

The Bruins are recovering from a terrible playoff loss and are currently second in the Northeast. Tim Thomas is playing like the player the Bruins signed 2 years ago. Even though they are a little bit of a work in progress with the new players, Bruins fans have a lot to be excited about with progression of Tyler Seguin and maybe Tuuka Rask.

Either way, Damn today feels good to be from Boston.
